ZSC Ridge Cultivator
The ZSC ridge cultivator features a modular design, allowing for configurations for various crops growing on ridges, such as potatoes, parsley, and carrots. Quick-release locks allow for easy conversion to various crops. The machine consists of several modules.
Module 1 comprises the working sections that operate in the immediate vicinity of the plants. This is where the highest precision is required, so these working sections are mounted to a frame that can be moved relative to the rest of the machine. The frame is mounted on linear guides using slide bearings, and movement is achieved using a hydraulic cylinder. The working sections consist of two support wheels that run along the top of the ridge, ensuring a constant working depth. The clearing discs operate closest to the plants, removing soil from the row. The undercutting knives operate at a greater distance from the row.
The second module of the machine comprises the working sections, which are designed to loosen the bottom and sides of the ridge. The angled discs cut the side of the ridge at a very shallow depth (1 to 3 cm). This solution improves operational stability and reduces machine clogging, even in conditions with heavy weed growth. Spring-loaded tines are used to loosen the bottom of the ridge.
The third module of the machine consists of the covering discs, which are responsible for re-covering the side of the ridge.
The fourth part of the machine consists of the ridge boards, which ensure proper leveling and compaction of the ridges, which is crucial for ridge stability.
